Definition
Post-Ride Mobility is the time-coupled lever Veloarchitect dispatches immediately after every session. The protocol targets hip flexors, thoracic rotation, and ankle dorsiflexion inside a 30-minute post-ride window — the tissue is warm and pliable, and the intervention produces range-of-motion gain that the same mobility work performed 6 hours later cannot match. Standard mobility advice treats the work as a separate session; Veloarchitect couples the mobility to the ride so it cannot be skipped. The protocol is structurally embedded in the Athlete's weekly flow, not an optional add-on.

Closed Loop
The metric traverses the closed loop: Intent is the .zwo prescription the system computed against the Athlete’s True Normal. Telemetry is the .fit recording of the executed session. Adaptation is the longitudinal movement of the metric itself, logged against the True Normal and feeding back into the next day’s prescription via Protocol 10 (Adaptive Workout).
Worked Example
Athlete: 44y/o, returning to FTP after a 12-week desk-bound period. Week 0 hip flexor asymmetry: 8° (right tighter). Post-ride Mobility integrated into every session (15-minute template: hip flexor stretch, 90/90 hip rotation, thoracic openers, ankle dorsiflexion wall stretch). Week 2: 6°. Week 4: 3°. Week 6: 1°. Adaptation Rate on concurrent Threshold Sustain work held at +0.011 W/bpm/week despite the desk-bound history. Knee Pain Triage not triggered across the block; anterior knee discomfort stayed at 0/5 in the Discomfort Log.
Common assumption inverted
Post-Ride Mobility is not "stretching." The 30-minute post-session window is structurally different from later mobility work: tissue is warm, pliable, and receptive to range-of-motion gain. The Athlete who performs the same mobility work the next morning produces a different physiological stimulus (less gain, more soreness). Veloarchitect couples the mobility to the ride inside the protocol window so it cannot be moved to a later session. The Athlete who treats mobility as optional loses the protocol's window and produces a chronic-restriction pattern across the longitudinal record.
