If you have a custom training plan from a coach or a downloaded workout file, getting it into Zwift is the final step before you can hit the virtual tarmac. Custom Zwift workouts come in .zwo format.
Importing these files is a straightforward process on a computer. However, getting them onto your phone, tablet, or Apple TV requires a slight workaround using Zwift's Cloud Sync feature.
This is the most reliable method. Even if you plan to ride using your phone or Apple TV, you should start by importing the file on a computer first.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
.zwo.Open your Zwift Workouts folder:
Documents\Zwift\Workouts\[Your Zwift ID]Documents/Zwift/Workouts/[Your Zwift ID]Note: Your Zwift ID is a folder titled with a unique string of numbers (e.g., 123456). If multiple people use your computer, there will be multiple folders. Make sure you select yours.
.zwo file into this numbered folder.Because of system restrictions, you cannot directly drag and drop files into the Zwift app on an Android device or an Apple TV. Instead, you need to use Zwift's Cloud Sync.
The Cloud Sync Method:
.zwo file to Zwift's cloud servers. If you don't want to use Cloud Sync and you own both a Mac and an iOS device, you can push the file directly via a wired connection.
.zwo file directly into the Workouts folder within that directory.Never try to move a .zwo file into your folder while the Zwift application is currently running. The app will not recognize the new file. Always close Zwift, move the file, and then relaunch.
