How closely the .fit telemetry matched the .zwo intent. High precision is structure executed; low precision is effort that differed from the plan.
Definition
Execution Precision compares the .fit telemetry to the .zwo intent on an interval-by-interval basis. A reading near 1.00 means the body executed the prescription. A reading under 0.70 means the effort was real but unaligned with the intent — the Athlete rode hard, but not the ride that was prescribed. Tracked longitudinally, Execution Precision becomes a first-class metric for whether the Athlete is improving at executing structure, not just producing watts.

Closed Loop
The metric traverses the closed loop: Intent is the .zwo prescription the system computed against the Athlete’s True Normal. Telemetry is the .fit recording of the executed session. Adaptation is the longitudinal movement of the metric itself, logged against the True Normal and feeding back into the next day’s prescription via Protocol 10 (Adaptive Workout).
Worked Example
Interval 1 lands at 0.94 precision (target power held within tolerance). Intervals 2 and 3 drift to 0.71 and 0.58. Interval 4 collapses to 0.31 — power 22% under target, cadence erratic. The system flags the ride as systemic drift rather than a single bad interval, projects a 0.45 Failure Horizon reading for the next day, and rewrites the next session to a Recovery Spin (Protocol 4) regardless of Whoop recovery.
Common assumption inverted
A low Execution Precision is not a failed workout. It is high-fidelity data: the Athlete’s body reported something the prescription did not account for. The longitudinal record values the 0.31 interval more than the 0.94, because the 0.31 is the data point the next prescription must learn from.
